Webinar with Actor & Writer Ian Puleston-Davies

Welsh actor Ian Puleston-Davies is one of the UK’s most well respected and recognisable actors, best known for playing the role of Owen Armstrong in Coronation Street from 2010-2015. More recently you will have seen him on our screens in The Teacher (Channel 5 ) Anne (ITV) and Four Lives (BBC) alongside Sheridan Smith. As well as being an actor, Ian is a writer and co-wrote the BAFTA -nominated drama ‘Dirty Filthy Love’ based upon his own experiences of dealing with OCD. 

In this special event, Ian will talk about his journey into the Industry, the highs and lows of being an actor and how he has carved out a successful career for himself whilst managing the challenge of living with Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder.

Physical and emotional vulnerability as a Performer: The De-Rolling Process

Online Workshop - Creating your own work based on personal experience with Lucy Danser

Lucy Danser is a writer, storyteller and theatre maker based in London who writes female-led stories about mental health, sexual consent and personal identity, all influenced by true stories and personal experience. She has written the plays Rachael’s Cafe and Lost in Thought and her latest play, If This Is Normal is currently on tour around the UK. 
 
This 2 hour online workshop is a must for any performer interested in creating their own work, particularly those who are keen to use their own experiences as the work’s initial inspiration. Combining writing exercises, the opportunity to share your work and tips on fictionalising real life, this session will be packed full of useful advice to get you started on creating theatre based on personal experience.
